New grocery stores can benefit from coin-counting machines
A coin counting machine can provide an added layer of customer service to any business that already boasts high levels of satisfaction. Having the service available means customer needs are being prioritized; new grocery stores in particular, tasked with impressing and securing the local customer base, can benefit from ensuring they provide services beyond simply selling food and household goods.
Coin counting machines can help new grocers put customer needs first
An Ottawa-based grocery store chain is planning to open its first Toronto location in fall 2017. Farm Boy, which initially opened in 1981 and currently has 24 locations across Ontario, is coming to a shopping center in the suburb of Etobicoke. The 20,000-square-foot store will inhabit a building space that has been vacant since 2015 and was previously occupied by another grocery store chain.
Other businesses in the shopping center started selling essentials like bread, eggs and milk to cover the loss of availability of those items when the previous grocer went under.
Local residents are excited to get another dedicated market in their area. An Etobicoke-Lakeshore councilman who represents the area worked to secure the retailer as the plaza's anchor store.
"I kept hearing people tell me, 'get me a good grocery store (in the shopping plaza),'" Mark Grimes said to InsideToronto.com "...I think people are going to love it."
The CEO of Farm Boy said that Toronto-area residents have been requesting a local store after locations opened in Whitby and Pickering.
The company specializes in providing fresh produce, locally made products, and quality butchered meats. It also features a dedicated kitchen that cooks on-the-spot meals like pizzas and stir-fry, as well as premade meals that can be taken home.
One-hundred and fifty jobs will be created with the store's opening. Within the next 3 years, 10 to 15 more stores are expected to be coming to the greater Toronto area.
Grocery stores have to differentiate themselves from competition within the market via the products, prices and services they offer. New stores that value customer satisfaction and catering to their needs can succeed in gaining customer loyalty quickly by using coin counting machines.
